The parasite Leishmania is a protozoan that infects human macrophages and inhibits many of their functions. This infection requires that the parasite reaches the stage of promastigote metacyclic. This stage is distinguished by the presence of a protein called SHERP. During this work, the motifs and structures of the protein SHERP of the parasite Leishmania Infantum and Mexicana have been determined starting from their peptide sequences. These proteins have been used in a docking study in order to identify the different protein partners involved that have put SHERP in an interaction network (docking) between the different surface proteins of the parasite and those of its host cell.
